Q – When will payroll changes take effect?
A – Payroll changes take effect based on the selected “effective from” date and the cut-off date for the payroll cycle.
Q – Can I make changes to a payroll cycle after the cut-off date?
A – No, once the cut-off date has passed, the payroll moves to the Closed Payroll tab and no further changes can be made. If a change must be back dated, please reach out to geoservices@safeguardglobal.com
Q – How can I update payroll details for multiple employees at once?
A – Use the Bulk Uploads feature to submit payroll changes for multiple employees in a single action.
Q – What should I do if an upcoming payroll contains incorrect data?
A – You can still make changes to the upcoming (open) payroll cycles before the cut-off date comes.
Q – Can I retrieve past payroll records?
A – Yes, all processed payrolls are stored in the Closed Payrolls tab, where you can review and export historical payroll data.
Q – I have used the forgotten password link, which has taken me to a different page than the payroll feature.
A – Go to app.safeguardglobal.com which will take you to the payroll feature.
Q – I have logged in and cannot see any of my workers
A – Please contact your operations consultant. You need to be given access to your workers.
Q – I cannot access the portal, and I am worried my payroll changes will not be submitted
A – We have a grace period for you to check your access; please contact your operations consultant with your changes; they can help you access the Payroll feature and process your changes.
Q – Why can I not make any changes after the cutoff date is passed?
A – If the cutoff date is passed, these changes will have been submitted for payroll. To make any new changes, please access the following month when you will have the ability to edit. If a change must be back dated, please reach out to geoservices@safeguardglobal.com
Q – What If I have a general question about payroll changes?
A – You will need to reach out to your operations consultant and submit your question in the Safeguard Global Support Center (GSC) to gain advice.
Q - Should I enter Time and Attendance items in 'Payroll' or in 'Time and Attendance'?
A - It is recommend to enter through Time and Attendance, if you have access. If you need access to Time and Attendance, please reach out to geoservices@safeguardglobal.com
Q – How can I see past items submitted in the portal?
A – You can use the month icon at the top of the screen to move forward and backward through the year.
Q - How can I give my colleagues access to the Payroll feature?
A - You will need to reach out to your operations consultant to request access in the GSC.
Q -How do I login as a new user?
A - Follow this link for Payroll feature login help.
Q – How can I download my changes?
A – On the payroll changes screen, click the Export button to download and save all changes made.
Q - What if I have a major change that would result in an overpayment is discovered after the cut-off date?
A - Please reach out to geoservices@safeguardglobal.com as this will require an adjustment and potential off-cycle processing.
Q – Can I see my workers' submitted expenses?
A – No, this portal is for client submissions of payroll changes only.
Q – Will my past payroll inputs be shown in the portal?
A – No, only changes you have submitted through the portal will be displayed; any previously made will not be shown.
Q - When uploading the template for Bulk Uploads, do I need to remove workers with no changes from the file before uploading?
A- There is no need to remove these workers from the file before uploading. Workers with no changes will have no entries and therefore will not be affected and will not show up on the next Review screen.
