Clients can request a new hire directly from our Worker Onboarding dashboard, within the Global Unity hub.
Please note that to ensure data privacy, only approved users are able to access Worker Onboarding. Please contact your Account Manager or Onboarding Specialist if you require access.
To request a new hire:
From the Worker Onboarding dashboard, select Hire New Worker.
Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the request. We’ll ask you for a few key pieces of information including the Country of hire, Role Type and Salary.
If you are requesting a new hire in selected Safeguard local market locations*, where your company has already hired with Safeguard previously, you’ll be eligible for our fast-track process. This means you can continue straight to the Onboarding form where you’ll input full details for the hire and have access to view and approve the worker’s contract immediately.**
If you are requesting a hire in a new country, or a country that is not yet enabled for fast-track onboarding, the new hire request will be routed to your Account Manager, who will contact you to discuss next steps.
There are a few other reasons why your hire may not be eligible for fast-track onboarding, but don’t worry as your Account Manager will get the request moving for you!
The full list of reasons why your request may not be eligible for fast-track onboarding are:
Reason | Explanation |
New country setup required | You do not have any live workers in the selected country. Your Account Manager will be happy to discuss this request and create a new contract addendum for the desired country. |
Not an in-scope local market | The selected country is not a Safeguard local market where automation is in place.* |
Non-standard role | You’ve selected the role as "Other" in your submission. This means we need to do a quick check to ensure the type of role you are looking to hire is supported in the selected country. |
Worker is an expat | You selected "yes" to the question "Is this worker an expat?". Your Account Manager will discuss if a Visa is required and whether we can support this (Visa requirements vary between countries). |
Transfer of employment | You selected "yes" to the question "Are you transferring this worker on an existing employment contract?". Your Account Manager will discuss your requirements to match existing terms or apply seniority. |
MSA fast track declined | You selected "no" to the question "Please confirm you are happy to continue with this hire based on the terms agreed in your MSA for (country)?". Your Account Manager will be happy to address any concerns you have before moving forward. |
Please note that this is not an exhaustive list and there may be other factors which prevent the request being fast-tracked. Your Account Manager will automatically be notified and may need to check a few details before continuing.
*Supported Safeguard local market countries for fast-track onboarding are: Argentina, Australia, Bangladesh, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, India, Ireland, Italy, Kenya, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom. More countries are being added continually. For other country requests, your Account Manager will review and contact you to discuss next steps.
